The location was ideal, as it was very near Kyoto's many attractions but still offered a peaceful and traditional feel. Being right on the river provided a beautiful view. rangetsu was a delightful escape from the tourist hustle of arashiyama. the staff went above and beyond, even retrieving my wife's lost phone! the onsen and breakfasts were heavenly, and the attention to detail was unmatched. can't recommend it enough!

The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was right in front of a beautiful river and close to all the main tourist attractions in this city. The breakfast and dinner were truly delicious and nicely presented, with different items for each meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, making my experience even better. great value for the money spent and I would definitely come back here when visiting this city again.

The hotel's location right in front of a beautiful river was perfect! We were able to walk to all the main tourist attractions and the view from our private bath was breathtaking. We had the most amazing experience at a beautiful traditional Japanese Ryokan. The meals were a real treat with multiple courses and a set breakfast menu. The onsen facilities were nice, and we loved the cedar bathtub in our room. The location was calming and zen-like, perfect for a getaway. we highly recommend this hotel.

While the area surrounding the hotel is convenient and accessible, reaching the hotel with luggage can be a bit of a struggle. The hotel is a distance away from the JR station, and walking through the crowd with heavy bags can be daunting.
